WORKSHOPS and activities

This year we invite applications for participative activity in three distinct areas. We are seeking a wide variety of workshop hosts to run sessions in the festival’s free activity programme, including crafts, dance, puppetry and much more.

Please carefully read the the descriptions of each area below to ensure that you apply for the right one for your offering. The deadline for applications is Tuesday 30th April 2024.

MOVEMENTS - WORKSHOPS, TALKS & ACTIVITIES

Our theme for this year’s festival is ‘Movements’ - in all their forms.

The aim of this new area is to provide an antidote to current dominant societal narratives which focus on the more negative aspects of humanity and ecological catastrophe. Instead, together, we will be focusing on the power of people, community, collaboration and the positive actions taking place to protect people and the natural world.

We are looking for workshops/activities/talks/discussions that will focus on positive, empowering, solution based narratives and perspectives, celebrating our collective successes!  We are passionate about ensuring there is a varied and diverse representation from social and ecological movements, providing everyone an equal chance to inspire our festival goers and raise awareness about their work and passions.

If you would like to contribute a workshop, activity, talk or discussion in ‘Movements’ please complete the movements form here.

The KIDS field - WORKSHOPS, performance & ACTIVITIES

Do you tell stories? Do you make crowns out of foraged materials? Do you hunt bugs? Do you make kites? Whatever you do it needs to be suitable for children under 12 (ish!!), use mainly natural or recycled materials and just be fun for our younger festival goers to enjoy. We don't mind messy or noisy!!

We are also looking for workshops suitable to toddlers in our separate, enclosed toddler area.

If you would like to run a Children’s Workshop, please complete the kids field form here.

ADULT WORKSHOPS - WORKSHOPS & ACTIVITIES

We like to provide a diverse and vibrant workshop programme based on encouraging participation in the festival, including crafts, music, dance, well-being, arts, environment and much more. We prioritise workshops which can enhance the wellbeing of our beautiful planet, so encourage applications from workshop leaders who can demonstrate how they take this into consideration.

This programme will be hosted across the festival site in a variety of venues from the Makers Den to Fandangos and many more.

If you would like to apply to run an Adult Workshop at this year’s festival please complete the adult workshop form here.
